We have reserved blocks of rooms and secured attractive rates for a range of accommodation budgets for delegates attending the APCET meeting in 2009. All of the options listed below have convenient direct access to the conference venue at the University of Queensland by public transport that can be accessed using the go card included with registration materials available at the Welcome Reception. Brisbane remains one of Australia's most popular destinations for international tourists, and has been consistently voted Australia's "Most Liveable City". Consequently, hotel rooms in Brisbane are often in short supply, and 100% occupancy is not unusual.
APCET is not able to guarantee accommodation at the secured room rates listed below unless reservations are confirmed by 31 October 2008.
After that time, the reserved room blocks will begin to be released for general booking at standard rates.
All conference participants are strongly encouraged to book their hotel accommodation well in advance, as most of the room rates listed below are strictly subject to availability and only a limited number of rooms can be set aside; the APCET session dates fall within 'high season' for tourism in Brisbane. Although this list of hotels is by no means exclusive and conferences attendees are welcome to book with any hotel, we have negotiated discounted rates for APCET registrants with each of the hotels listed below.
