History in the making ...
Internet lecture, plus soup in a bread bowl
Monday, April 25, 2005
| David Stevens, of Petaluma, California, became the first lecturer to deliver an Internet lecture for First Church, Orlando, and DiscoveryBound was there to lend a hand (in Orlando, that is, not Petaluma).
Jennifer Franklin and Julianne and Geoff Spain joined three other attendants in participating in the online chat, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Held at the Panera adjacent to Eola Park, the free wi-fi provided by this restaurant chain enabled anyone to stop by and join in. Others viewed the lecture from their own homes. Over mugs of hot chocolate, and Paneras edible soup bowls, participants viewed Mr. Stevens responses to questions from around the country. The lecture, entitled Who do you think you are? Spirituality makes all the difference!, will be posted on the spirituality.com site by about April 27. Use this link. Before the lecture, Jennifer shared news of an upcoming DB eventsquare dancing, set for Saturday, May 28. Mark your calendars! |
