Christmas caroling in Winter Park – December 14, 2002

Early birds got a bite to eat at Brandywine’s Deli.

Sometimes we lined up better than we hit the high notes!

Time for “It’s a small world.” The woman on the right, Cindy Carson, managed to recognize this site’s webmaster, Mark Spain. They both attended Sunday School at Orlando’s original church on Rosalind Avenue, but hadn’t seen each other for 28 years, when Cindy and friends made a trip to Boston to attend Annual Meeting in 1974. Mark was working in the Monitor’s Photography Department at the time.

Part of the fun of caroling is striking out and finding new, unfamiliar territory. : )

We ran into this quartet on the south end of our walk down Park Ave. As singers, they were uncoordinated and uncertain of themselves until we joined them. Our group’s superior vocal training, flawless execution and sheer magnificence overwhelmed them a bit, but the quartet learned fast, and were singing like pros before we left.

(Yeah ....... that’s how it happened!)

After the caroling, Chassity found the Briarpatch to be a perfect spot to belt out a few carols.
