With some members of the Chambers family demonstrating an impressive ability to flee the south, we can end up a bit scattered (geographically speaking, that is).

Consequently, it’s no wonder that it can be a challenge just getting to each other’s homes.

The two features of this page are:

• PDF maps that show precisely how to get to ... well, the home of whoever it is who’s actually agreed to let you come visit

• a “Chambers Family address book,” also in PDF format

the maps ...

These Portable Document Format maps can be downloaded to your hard drive. Assuming you have Acrobat Reader, they can be printed, so you can take them with you as you set off. Each one will have the person’s home pinpointed, using three different scales, plus address and phone number(s).

the address book ...

Armed with scissors and stapler, you can print out the pages, cut and stack them, and then put two staples in the binding to create a Chambers Family address book that will fit easily in your wallet or purse. And you’ll be able to add your own personal addresses in the empty fields.

The addresses will be updated as needed. Complete instructions are online.

Even if you don’t care to make your own address book, you can still search the text file for addresses, phone numbers or e-mail addresses. And of course, you can also print the pages, and leave them in 8 1/2 x 11 form.

You might notice that there are no links to either of these pages. Since the files contain contact information (and that means contact information for minors as well), it’s a bit safer to e-mail family members with the necessary URLs. So, to access the maps, a few of which will be posted by summer, 2002, or the address book, which is available now, use the URL contained in one of your e-mail messages.

Of course, once you’ve pulled up the page you need, it will be fully functional, and will contain links back to the other sections of the Web site.
