Pinus contorta sourced from the Athol and Garston areas many years ago. Narrower than Pinus radiata, slower in growth and not as wind hardy. Condemned by some for it's prolific self seeding habit on exposed soils, but no worse than Douglas Fir. 4 Aug 2005.
