Read and Write Ancient Language, (UNI 094)

The Read and Write Ancient Language card is intended to allow characters to learn additional languages and keep track of what they learn on their character sheet.
Ancient Read and Write languages include Orc, Yithel, Pylos, Bulgerson, Prismatic, Delethine, Bullabay and Tylon. Your GM may decide that in her campaign some of these are ancient or that their are additional common languages. I actually recommend that GM's make it a quest to learn any one of these. Penglai is either common or automatic in its own lands, but finding a teacher in the Stormlands would be very difficult and would be Ancient in the Stormlands. Some languages do not have a known written version. Currently that includes Tigrean, Vorn and Wakana. |

The first point to make clear is that Speak Ancient Languages can include dead languages as well. You just have to find a Mentor who still knows the language. Your friendly GM may well make learning some languages into a quest. You will need to check with her.

Your GM may decide that in her campaign some of these are ancient or that their are additional common languages. She may also make finding Mentors for these darn difficult.
