This character is a Fairilon Elf. The Fairilon elves are the close to the same numbers in the stormlands as the Haskalad elves. The Ebony elf numbers are about 5% of the total elven population.
Throughout elven history the Fairilon elves have been the lower class of elven societies. Fairilon elves now rarely get a chance to grow up in there natural lands. They are more likely to have grown up in the human or mixed villages and cities of the stormlands. Fairilon elves feel that they have gotten a raw deal and carry a grudge against Ebony elves, Haskalad elves and the ancient dragons. These feelings do not stop cooperation, but it does cause some friction. Thos Fairilon elves that use the Latent Shifter cards to become shape shifters live with the knowledge that part of there heritage comes from the dragons. Not always an easy thing to deal with, but the survival instinct overcomes those doubts. Centuries ago, during the elven insurrections the fairilon elves split into two factions. The haskalad were the extreme dragon hating and resentful elves. In Haskalad areas a fairilon elf needs to be careful, but they can get along. In Ebony elf areas the fairilons have few rights and they generally do there business and move on. Those fairilon who grow up in ebony elf areas are usually indentured servants working the land for ebonesse rulers. |
