Boar Man, (CAS 026)

Boarmen is the name that these folks have in the general world. They call themselves the Yithrel. They had a thriving civilazation in the jungles before the Deathday Massacres and the warp storms which swept through the jungles. They had a militaristic society with some success among mortal races in their region. The warp that hit the region tore apart the society. Now they have become madspawn wandering through the jungles and cities of their old homeland. It has been several generations since a living Yithrel's memories of their world existed. Now even the spirits that survive in the region have gone mad and their memories are cracked and unreliable.

In the current world a few of the Boarmen live throughout the stormlands and are "normal". They have a spirit religion following the spirit of Gythlyn. Gythlyn teaches some of the history and the importance of duty to the old Yithrel. Gythlyn is seen as a consort of either Elethay or Jikadell, depending on the popular major religion of the region. In a few areas where the major religions have not taken control Gythlyn stands alone.

They carry a great resentment of what the warp storms have done to their race. Most believe the propoganda that Dragons, and their kin, are the cause of their fall from grace. A limited number believe the truth and they have a saying that goes: "Tell the truth quietly because the big lies are more easily believed than the truth."

Despite their militaristic viewpoint the boarmen eat very little meat. They primarily eat vegtables and greens. Meat is ate at celebrations and feasts, but that is about it.

The boarmen are trained in a special "gore" attack which works much like a Dual Strike and would be pointed that way.
