We had many great looks at Altamira Orioles in the Rio Grande Valley.
Crested Caracara was a favorite of many - this one perched on a yucca.

In the hill country we visit the spectacular Frio Bat Cave.
Millions of Mexican Free-tailed Bats roost in this cave.
There go the bats, out across the countryside to feed.
The Frio River was just part of the lovely setting at Neal's Lodges.
