| I built these heater adapters one evening to convince the stock 912 heater flapper boxes to mate with the VW 411/412 heater boxes I used on the Type IV engine. The heater box outlet is 60 mm and the flapper box inlet is about 63 mm. So these sheet metal tubes step down the 63 mm inlet to 60 mm. It worked rather well and wasn't nearly as difficult as I expected. I highly recommend the NAPA ______ Carburetor Pre-Heater tubes for all your 914/Type IV heat ducting needs. It's very official looking and very high quality. |
