My room at my folks place, nice big oak desk and still covered in clutter!

Well time has flown past, I have graduated (Second Class Honours - or C in US Terms) from University and am now in the big wide world looking for a job. I've been having a bit of fun here. I decided I haven't a hope in hell of ever affording a G4 Mac, and to be frank I really feel uncertain about buying a new PowerMac now anyway. Instead I have managed to get a Rev. 2 Blue & White G3/400 PowerMac from a real nice guy on eBay (yeh that idiot that ripped me off didn't scare me away :) ) and it's in super condition. I have cleaned out the smattering of dust and upgraded it a bit and now feel I have a nice tidy system to run Jaguar and my collection of OS X Apps on. I added the Combo drive (not an Apple on I add) because I was in desperate need of a CD Burner as I was borrowing one off of a roommate at Uni but now I'm not there anymore! I decided to get a Combo drive so I could invest in some DVDs. So far I have The Matrix (which I have watched about 6 times already as I only ever saw it on TV before), Dune (sci-fi classic of 1984) and Gone in 60 Seconds (it was really cheap and i like the cars and Angelina Jolie :) ).
I have also been hacking, as you can see from my list above. I created what I have labeled my 'Quadra 805'. It's basically a tower made out of 2 LC cases bolted back to back and a hold cut through for wires. Pretty neat machine and it has 3GB of storage! I looked into fitting it with a CD drive but there isn't enough depth and the plastic is hard to work with and I don't want to ruin my masterpiece!
Having returned from University I have a nice big room but decided my collection needed a clear-out! I have sold a lot of surplus stuff but kept the stuff that I have grown attached to. My 7300/200 is now my dad's file server on our network and is also serving a mirror of this site at THIS ADDRESS. I now have all my spares sorted into boxes, my unused Macs all stacked on a shelf and enough space to set up all the Macs I do use so they can be accessed and serviced.

Anyone who read this page when I first posted it will know I was expecting to take delivery of a 466MHz G4. Well it never came and I have filed for fraud against the eBay seller with the Police. I await an outcome and am now some £585 worse off.
I have finally managed to get myself a G3 B&W so I have restored my place in the community as a desktop OS X User. I still think about that ****** every time I look at my G3 but hey, that's life I guess. I really had to stretch my bank account to it's limits to afford m G3 but I'm glad I did. It's taken the pressure off my iBook, which now needs a new CD rive 'cause I dropped it when I was on holiday last.
I plead for your own sakes, from an experience I'd prefer to forget - BE CAREFUL on eBay!
