Baklava originates from the time of the Ottoman Empire and its popularity
spread in the Mediterranean. It evolved into different versions in different countries.
Our recipe follows the original Turkish recipe which is unique, made with
very thin phyllo dough and buttered over thirty layers, filled with walnuts.
After baking, the syrup is poured on just enough to give sweetness without
leaving it fully saturated. You'll just have to try it!
