Our
aim is to assemble a great variety of performing artists representing
very different talents and traditions. At best, segments reflect
something unique
about the country of origin.
Producers may create an original piece especially for this occasion, or
offer a live-on-tape performance recorded within the last 12 months.
Piece can be an excerpt from a holiday celebration,
festival, concert, or any special event involving one or more of the
following: music, dance, pageantry, folk art, acrobatics, extreme
sports, mime, puppetry, traditional rituals and ceremonies.
The quality of the recording is very important - image and sound have
to meet the highest production standards. A lively, exciting atmosphere
is equally important. Each piece should be recorded AS LIVE, preferably
with
a live audience, in an interesting setting indoor or outdoors.
Length
Segments range from 2 to 4 minutes, but can be longer if necessary.
