3rd Anniversary

Hawaiian Honeymoon Revisited

We've hit 3 years married! We joke that it easily feels like 10, but truth be told, it's gone quick. And without getting too cheesy, each year is better than the last... this year probably took the cake because we were able to focus a little less on work and take fewer trips for other people's weddings and spend more time together doing whatever we wanted (trips, welding, you name it).

One thing has stayed the same -- we've created a silly anniversary ritual. We make reservations at the Hawaiian Fusion restaurant Roy's, making sure to tell them that we're celebrating our anniversary. We order mai tais and lava flows, ahi poke and other traditional Hawaiian meals, and for 2 hours we are swept away to our Hawaiian honeymoon. They always make it special, writing "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate on our shared souffle plate. This year they took it one step further and totally surprised us when we opened our menus to find this (yep, it says Happy 3rd Anniversary, Lauren and Mark (oops) Davis).

Anyway, 3 down, a whole bunch more to go...
