Some notes about pricing —

It is common for school service providers to withhold web-based and print fee schedules until speaking with potenial sponsors. There are several pros and cons to doing so which involve the variables of distance (time + fuel prices), audience size, program type, preparatory materials, type of venue, source of funding, artist's other commitements, and even the underlying mission of the sponsoring agency (e.g., an IBM corporate picnic versus a library fundraiser). The current fees represent a historical "best fit" for elementary schools that can fluctuate if sponsors are out of New England, or down the street, or if cooperative booking between agencies occurs in such a way as to allow for several days in one area. Audience sizes have rarely been an issue since the capacity of auditoriums dictate how the rest of school functions operate, fire codes not withstanding. Although there are subtle differences between audiences of 200, 250, and 300, there is no difference in performance pricing. Do be cognizant, however, that overcrowding any venue's seating plan adversely affects the overall performance and viewing experiences.

Workshops differ from performances in that there are significantly less students (25-65) involved in the workshop (45-90 minutes in length). However, upwards of 5 workshops a day can be accommodated in a typical school day. Thus, an entire school can be exposed to an experience that is more hands-on and affording of the opportunity for increased interraction and feedback between artist and students. Fees are inclusive of all materials and travel expenses.
