INTRODUCTION
WHY DID I PRODUCE THIS WEBSITE?

UPDATE : As you'll see elsewhere on the site, my Court Case ground to a halt because MKD Holdings went into Administration in April 2007. The site's purpose is now no longer about getting me compensation, it's now intended to be a public service to try to help others. Please note that Moben is now owned by HF Group Acquisitionco and that my kitchen was installed by MKD Holdings Ltd, the previous owner.

I FEEL I'VE BEEN ROBBED
I bought a Moben Kitchen for £9500 and was promised a high standard of installation and finished product. The installation was to take 2 weeks or less from delivery of the kitchen units and appliances. £9500 is a high price for a fairly small and simple kitchen and I made it clear that I was only agreeing to this because Moben were promising high quality.
The kitchen installation took 19 weeks and would have taken much longer if I hadn't continually chased Moben by phone, in writing and by email.
The installation involved numerous visits requiring days off work, sometimes they didn't turn up, and on several occasions they left the house in mess. They sent a plasterer and a tiler who were clearly incompetent.
Despite remedial works and more disruption I am left with a kitchen of a poor standard. See my
slide show for more information on Moben's abysmal workmanship.
I've asked Moben for compensation of half the price of the kitchen.
Moben clearly have no intention of providing me with the quality of service and product promised and appear to have no intention of offering me compensatiion.
So, I feel I've been robbed.

SO, WHY THE WEBSITE?
There are two main reasons for this website :
1) TO SHOW I MEAN BUSINESS
Although some time ago I threatened to take Moben to Court, they clearly haven't taken this seriously. I thought that producing
a slide show would be a good way of showing them their abysmal workmanship as they clearly didn't know what had been going on in my kitchen. Having produced the slide show I thought that the fairly easy step of publishing it as a website would show them I mean business. They still don't seem to have got the message though.
2) TO WARN POTENTIAL MOBEN CUSTOMERS
Moben is a large company installing large numbers of kitchens. Some will be to the customers' satisfaction but sometimes, as in my case, things will be wrong. If you buy a Moben kitchen, you might be lucky and things may go well - but if they don't go well you'll probably get no sympathy, compensation or respect from Moben if my experience is anything to go by.

THE FUTURE?
www.kitchenhell.co.uk was intended to be not much more than a way of showing Moben what a bad job they'd done ie as an alternative way to show them my photographs as I assumed they'd lose the CD I was sending. But it's grown mainly as a result of feedback and encouragement from readers and because of ongoing concerns about Moben's service.

Thank you.
