Congratulations to Amy Hall who was awarded her M.Sc. with Distinction on January 14, 2011. Amy did our M.Sc. in Nanoscale Science and Technology and is now undertaking a Ph.D. in my research group.
Recent research highlights include the directed diffusion of single polymer molecules as well as work on the switchable adhesion of oppositely charged polyelectrolytes.

I am a co-author and co-editor of Nanoscale Science and Technology, a textbook introducing nanoscience and nanotechnology to final year undergraduates and graduate students. This book provides core material for much of our graduate-level training through nanofolio, the Universities of Leeds and Sheffield Nanotechnology Education Portfolio, of which I was, until recently, director.
