hmm
who thought Dispatch were gone forever? well, not me!.. ok ok maybe i did.. but
surprise surprise.. i wouldn't be writing about this if something extraordinary
is about to happen.. thats right.. they are back!
Well.. not completely but Dispatch
are definitely back for a one off performance. Sadly it's all the way in New
York so its abit hard for me to go and see them.. however you might be able to..
and if you're a fan then you really should.. i very much doubt they will do
another.. and also what makes this one time performance even better is all the
money you pay goes straight to charity. This performance is dedicated to raising
money for Zimbabwe to help fight diseases, fight justice, womens
rights.....there are plenty of problems to fight and help, and Dispatch are
there to offer all they can. Anyway to find
out more and more detailed facts go check out their myspace page http://www.myspace.com/dispatch If
you can get to America or if you are in America then don't miss out on this
opportunity! It's in Madison Square Garden in New York City in July. I doubt
that they will play again anytime soon, but if you're like me and cant get there
then please just spread the word.. im sure there are plenty of people who don't
know about this unless they have their myspace page.. thats the only way i found
out anyway, thanks!
If you haven't
heard of Dispatch then please read a previous review i wrote on them.. you might
just have found a new love in music! I won't bother explaining how special they
are here.. go read this Dispatch review i did a while
ago..

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.
Get
Cape. Wear Cape. Fly... huh? oh right.. thats the name of the band!.. well i say
band but really this is only one person, and you would have never have
guessed!.. maybe a.k.a Sam Duckworth and his
laptop?
Sam Duckworth
writes all his raw yet soothing indie melodies
by himself and also with help from his laptop to provide all that scattered
percussion to fit nicely with lovely chord combinations and wonderful finger
picking. The lyrics could be seen as simple at times, but not so simple to be
seen as worthless. Duckworth's words are if anything touching, im sure if you
listened to his album 'The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager' you will be able
to find a song that appeals to you. I know i can.. more than a few anyway. The
title of the album says it all really, his words are indeed what you would hear
from someone of bohemian views, they can be quite politcal indeed
aswell.. and last but not least Im very
proud to say that this guy is as English as it gets.. yet again, more great pop
music distributed from the UK, no one can stop us now! This guy is from the
southend, Im already eager to hear what words he has to sing on his next album
of fine music. But FIRST!!.. YOU have to
check out this album.. even just to preview it on itunes music will do.. because
i know anyone who listens to it will want to buy it anyway.. check it
out.. 'The Chronicles Of A Bohemian
Teenager' Oh you can also check
out a selection of his music on his MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/getcapewearcapefly
Recommended
Songs: war of the
worlds, The Chronicles Of A Bohemian
Teenager (Part One), The Chronicles Of A
Bohemian Teenager (Part
Two), I-Spy, Lighthouse
Keeper
You can also find out more
about Get Cape on the official website http://www.getcapewearcapefly.com/ (nicely put
together site if you have flash)
Now
this is one funny video! I watched it and i thought the guy was being serious at
first and i started to get pissed off.. but then i figured that no one could
sound so stupid hehe.. This guy from New
York Times compares vista and mac os x.. and for those who really do say the
fact that windows vista didn't steal ideas from Mac OS X!... hahahahaha.. Please
watch this

My Excuse For No College Today Is..
Ever
seen one of these before? Here's my excuse for no college today.. a pretty good
one don't you think? I must have driven in
something pretty nasty! I was on the motorway and suddenly my car started
vibrating and shuddering really badly, so i thought maybe it was the engine or
something,.. anyway whatever it was it didn't sound good! So i pulled over on
the side of this busy road.. i shit myself every time lorries came hurtling
passed.. there was literally no slip road for me to pull over
on. I got my stepdad to come out, he was
gonna toe my car with the range rover, had no idea what was wrong with it but
the engine started fine.. We moved forward about 100 yards to get on a bit of
slip road and then i noticed that it must have been a tyre, and so it was-
COMPLETEY SHREDDED! Lovely!

Mel's Challenge
Recently
Mel set a challenge for all her readers to try
and copy her pose of her on the computer. I wasn't thinking of doing it but
after some arm twisting i decided to.. ok Mel, i got the white top like you! I
tried to place the bits in the right place lol butttt... it's not the right
angle i know and i couldnt get the phone and the can.. can of beer would have
been nice but well that's for the
weekend! Angle could have been done better
but at the time of this photo i couldn't get someone to take the picture so I
did some handy work with the webcam and this is the best i could do (bearing in
mind i was wedging and balancing this webcam on top of a small bookcase!!

Hilarious.. Clever.. Lasse Gjertsen
Once
again i have tried to html a video to here but it wont show it.. so im just
trustingyou to
be bothered to click on the link! Check this
video out, called 'hyper active', it's fantastic! Cleverly edited!
This crazy haired dutchie (i think) Lasse Gjertsen is one hell of a beat boxer
and has obviously recorded himself doing different sounds, then edited the whole
clip and made the video into one big jam.. hard to explain.. Spare 2 minutes and
GO SEE! It's hilarious and
fantastic! http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-3564441495710007579&q=hyperactive
If
you liked that he did another one aswell called 'Amateur'- a different video but with the same
technique only this time with an actual drum kit and later a piano aswell.. this
one is good but 'hyper active' i prefer!

Kiely And The Minogues
http://www.myspace.com/kielyandtheminogues A
band of 5 spawned from the likes of Suffolk got together writing songs that
started out as simple jokes that only the crowd of friends around of them would
understand. Band members include: Josh Dickenson as the lead singer with his
humourous vocals, Edward Kiely with the funky rhythm guitar riffs and backing
vocals, Luke Giles with finger blistering solos (lead guitar), Will Jarmin with
the never ending beats and Alex with the heart pounding
bass. They started out playing small
concert events in school and even though the crowd didn't always quite
understand what they were singing about.. they still couldn't help but love
them. After the continuous positive
feedback and the demand for more, they progressively continued to write more and
more, the band started to play other events and gigs, battle of the bands was
probably the biggest event they have played at so far of which they came 2nd in-
but music still remains a hobby for
them. So anyway after that event they
decided to write an EP, with all their classics included- such as 'the emo
song', 'high horse', etc.. Kiely and the
Minogues are extremely funky yet extremely punky- also having a strong love for
disney music.. (they do a great cover of Hakuna
Matata) The band want to be known as a
happy band, with happy music, and believe me thats all your gonna get off of
them.. the feeling of happiness with their humorous music which never fails to
poke fun at someone, something, or anything and everything. They don't have any
particular image or label really, they are just a group of friends having some
fun, Im not actually sure if they are serious about taking music any further or
not.. but i think the public would love them, they are just so original and the
music is just fun to hear. I'm so pleased
to be able to say that they played a short set at my leaving party before i
moved up to Scotland, however we already had a band playing, and well, i had
only invited Josh, Ed, and Luke to the party, Alex and Will i didn't know too
well. So i had invited a singer and 2 guitarists- and they managed to do an
acoustic session of a few songs.. it was short, but it was worth it! A small
gathering moved to next room (from where the other band had played.. to where
KATM were playing) to check them out, everyone who watched them loved them, and
im sure you will too! Please check them out
on their myspace http://www.myspace.com/kielyandtheminogues They
have 4 songs up from their EP, they sound pretty professional so please, check
them out and let me know what you think- but make sure you listen to the lyrics
even if you do end up getting on the table to dance to the
funkyness! My current favourite songs which
are up on myspace at the moment are 'bumping uglies', 'the emo song' and 'high
horse'.. (i also love 'Oi rude boy' but thats currently not up there at the
moment) ENJOY! http://www.myspace.com/kielyandtheminogues
