Lets Get Extreme.. LETS GET IRONING!!




as stupid as it sounds.. its sooo so true, and official, and the fact is, a household chore has never before been so extreme, but now, here it is, ironing has actually turned into an extreme sport!
Thanks to Paul for telling me about this! When i heard i couldn't believe it, i thought it was a joke as no doubt everyone reading this probably does.. but i assure you it's taken quite seriously!
It all started in 1997 in Leicester (East Midlands), in England. Gradually more and more people took an interest. 1999 a new development was reached- 'Extreme Ironing International'. It was now spreading rapidly around the world. In 2000 Germany made a sister office which looked at the physics of the sport, and back here in the UK they had reached a fresh new audience, all completely hardcore and ready to get extreme!!
AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT.. 2002 they have organised highly successful championships which are held in Germany! (in the village of Valley near Munich).
Honestly this is no joke! Sounds bizarre huh? I think maybe people are just running out of ideas to make their lives a little more interesting...?
I was browsing their website and i found pictures from people to ironing under water to people ironing on the side of mountains!
hmm, i had an idea, how about the first person to iron on the moon?
