Big Brother Britain, Big Britain's Brother.. Tomatoe, Tomarrrrtoe..

Privacy and freedom is coming to an end as we know it, but probably for us brits first though.
Apparently Britain is going to be the first country to have it's own national surveillance network to monitor car movement, meaning every time you decide to drive down the local store or across the country to see your family, there will be a network of cameras that can automatically read your number plate to build up a huge database, so security services can tell where a driver has been over the past several years. This has taken over 25 years to develop and has only come to the beginning of rein.
Also, it's already being worked on so computers will even be able to tell who's who on surveillance cameras by automatically scanning the faces. Our every move will be stored into computers, and bingo there you go, the world has it's own big brother- congratulations, i wonder who makes it to the finals?..
Sure this is an excellent idea to catch criminals, but on the other hand, i don't like the idea that every time i step foot outside my door I'm being watched by thousands of boring government employed twats sitting in dark gloomy surveillance rooms with 3 cups of coffee and greasy ponytails. Yes, yes, and yes it's very clever, and i have no idea how to suggest using it to catch criminals but also letting the rest of the world live on in privacy, because of course no one knows who the criminal is until they have committed the crime- and by that time it's indeed too late.. BUT STILL.. when i was born I didn't sign some binding contract to say that i was ok with being big brothered, I don't know what other people think but somehow.. it just. doesn't. feel. right.
Apparently America have had all this for sometime, but there are so many rumours about the american government it's hard to know what's true and what's just been made up by rebels and haters- so I'm not going into that or i could be here all day, but hey maybe we are all being watched right now, maybe your trusty mirror has cameras behind it and your phone is tapped and computers are monitored.. who knows!
Now i can sit here writing to the world on my blog kidding myself that Im going to be making a great big difference by writing this 'fight the power' article, but i have come to realise that, well, to be completely honest with you, i can dare say that we don't have much control over this at all- and that's just the way it is- it's not rocket science to figure that one out, so what can we do?
Are we just the poor helpless defensless public? or do we have the same rights and control over our lives like all those thousands of people who work for the government?!.. Well?..
