Are Blues Songwriters Just Lazy?

This is just a quickie to say my opinion on the blues and also a moan of how i have just had enough of hearing other people moan about how lazy blues songwriters are, this post is to all those people who haven't actually got a clue about the blues- who have no idea that blues lyrics are suppose to be simple so when you feel a bit 'in the blues' yourself you can easily relate to what they are saying, and then just HEAR your emotions being balled out on a guitar- why do you think its called the blues?! It's for when you're in the blues tooooo!
I think to appreciate the blues you have to have a real genuine understanding of what its all about.
People who don't appreciate the blues are the ones who critisize how 'lazy' the writers are.. but to be perfectly honest, the blues is not about the lyrics, the lyrics should just be thought of as accompanying the music to tell the audience what emotion they SHOULD be feeling.

The blues is all about putting your emotion into the music, the lyrics just come out straight and simple- just as anyone would usually think of things if you are worried or depressed about 'your woman leaving you' or 'losing your job', 'feeling down', etc..
The Lyrics should be thought of as a long story cut short, 'in a nutshell' kinda thing, and the music is what expresses the feeling, it's all so simple but, the music is what makes up for the creative side. Instead of having clever lyrics and emotional words it is all said with the music, and the words are just your guidelines.
Listen to any blues now and realise you can just hear all the emotion behind the lyrics in the actual music itself.

So yeah, blues songwriters ARE lazy at the lyrics part, but they make one hell of a job with guitar and piano solos :-)
I hope maybe at least some naive person out there has a better understanding and appreciation of the blues! You better anyway or Im going to need to go listen to the blues right now myself!
