Lifehouse song that fits you the best?



Lifehouse, an American rock band of 3 guys including drummer Rick Woolstenhulme, bassist/singer Bryce Soderberg and the very gifted singer/guitarist and songwriter Jason Wade, heart touching lyrics and the relavent acoustic music to go with it. Lifehouse's music is what i would call Acoustic Rock, though when Jason Wade was once asked what kind of music could be found on their third album he replied, (and i quote), "the kind of music I like to write. That’s one of the great things about having done a couple of records. I don’t second-guess myself anymore. When I’m writing, I’m not trying to please everyone. My first question is: Do I like it?" I think this is such a good attitude for a band to have, so you know all the music you hear from them isn't them trying to just give you what you want to hear so you will buy it.. instead you know it's just the music they like, the music they want to hear, the lyrics are what they really feel, and they aren't trying to please anyone- they just happen to be heart touching and true to us all, so we all see sense to buy their music anyway.

I first heard their most well known song 'you and me' on 'Smallville' where the band were actually performing in the prom which was being held in the story of the program. Lifehouse was the band playing, i didn't recognise them (probably because i had never heard or see them before as they arent known throughout the UK yet) but the 'you and me' song stood out like a summers day when they started playing it and i just loved it. I remembered a line of the lyrics and searched them into google, and bingo! Lifehouse- you and me! Excellent! Possibly my favourite song at the moment, i heard it and i was just so "awww".

But yeah anyway...
make sure you check out 'you and me' and 'trying' is also another song i recommend, mostly because of the lyrics again. 'Trying' is probably a song i love most, simply because i can relate to it so well, but that's just a personal preference, maybe you can find your own Lifehouse song that fits you the best?
