Step aside Britney.. take a hike Agulara.. Kelly Clarkson is here to stay!


I never thought i would be so impressed with this sort of pop.. but yes, Kelly Clarkson has flowed right into my playlist like fresh water to a stream.

I first heard Kelly Clarkson on the stereo in one of my art lessons, i heard some pop come on and of course, my mind was open, but i wasn't concentrating on the music too much- but yet- it still managed to grab my attention from the pencil i was holding.
Kelly's voice has such strength, her lyrics have so much meaning, and her music is of very good quality, it is pop, but it's more 'pop-rock' in an Avril Lavigne type style, but yet Kelly doesn't seem like no skater girl...

It is said that Kelly Clarkson has been inspired by various artists such as Avril Lavigne, this is something that's very noticable especially in her song (and recent hit) 'behind these hazel eyes'. Kelly's voice also reminds me of Christina Agulara (but this may be because she has such a strong voice) and also she sounds a bit like Pink in some places aswell.. but saying this, it's blatant she has her own style and has lots of different qualities that many other artists have but only seem to have one each (for eg. strong voice, style, originality, looks, meaningful lyrics, good music), where as Kelly Clarkson seems to combine them all- weather it's a small amount or a huge amount, she seems to have a little bit of everything! So step aside Britney.. take a hike Agulara.. Kelly Clarkson is here to stay!

Although it was her first hit that got me impressed at first which is 'miss independent', this can't be found on her knew album, but some of my other favourites can which i can recommend as..

Give this girl a chance even if you're not a big fan of this usual pop music, i really do think she will surprise you, just the other day I got my 'heavy metal' friend appreciating this music.. so come on.. it's got to be good!
