Tsar are making a come back!


Tsar, return as the new anarchist rock 'n' roll band from America with their brand new album which is now their second one! 'Band Girls Money' which is not even out yet! -"Part glam sex-pose, part punk sneer, part pop craftsmanship, 'Band-Girls-Money' synthesizes decades of music history and combines with comtemporary zeal to create three-minute bursts of energy."

The band includes Jeff Whalen on lead vocals and guitar, Daniel Kern on lead guitar and vocals, Derrick Forget on bass and vocals, and Chuck Byler as the drummer.


The only new sounds you can hear from this punky group of 4 (since first heard in 1999) so far is their debut single 'Band Girls Money', its a great typical rock n roll track, complete with some catchy riffs and improvised sounding soloing all the way through! Play this at your next house party- i bet it will get everyone up!

Tsar were apparently already ripping it up in 1999 and also in 2000, everyone thought they were the new best thing then but sadly Tsar weren't successful and had to turn their backs on their Hollywood deal last year. However with their new deal to TVT, Tsar are making their new come back with their second album 'Band Girls Money', fresh new music here hopefully it will work out for them! Show your support check out their music! You shouldn't regret it if you are into rock! Lets hope this album is their success and not an embarrasing 2nd failure.

Tsar mention their influences include; Guns n' Roses, The Monkees, Stooges, Sweet, Sex Pistols, and the Bee Gees. Personally they remind me a lot of 'The Hives' when it comes to frontman Jeff Whalen's singing and performance on the video 'band girls money'- but of course the music isn't much like the hives at all as Tsar really take the bate from the insane solos and energetic music that just makes you want to get up, shout, and jump around like a lunatic- of course this could just be me..

Tsar's new album hits the stores on the 28th June- i personally can't wait! From their single 'bands-girls-money' it suggests they are going to be the new rock n roll scene.
