meChurch -- are Disciples going this way?
A friend and pastor emailed me a link to s media
site that created a commercial called meChurch. It is an interesting mirror for
Disciples and Christendom.
It is hard to decide if this is a
spoof or the real given the website, but it is an interesting mirror for a
denomination with a 2020 vision. Is it good to start churches? Sure, but in a
denomination wanting to be intentional about becoming an anti-racisim,
pro-reconciling church is it helpful to create churches for each color of the
rainbow? Why aren't we working to desegregate Sunday? Is it too hard a task:
language, worship style or theology? Can we celebrate individualism and live in
community? Can we agree that education helps the whole community and make that
important to language, worship and
