SmartLedger™: Printing Your Ledger

The Print button at the top of the main screen switches to a printer-friendly presentation of your ledger, and gives you the option to show or not show any notes you've entered along with your transactions.

Here's what you see when you click the Print button and choose the option to show notes.

The Print button prints out only the entries you are viewing at the moment. Gather up in advance the records you want by using the Accounts button or the Find button, and then click on Print. If you want to include all entries, choose the command Show All under the Records menu before running your print.

The Print button does much more for you than the generic Print command under the File menu. When you use the on-screen Print button, you get a paginated printout that uses only the required number of pages (avoids wasted paper).

To put a title on your printouts, click the highlighted link at the bottom of the main screen, or choose the command Print Titles & Reminders under the SmartLedger Menu.

Tip: There is almost never a good reason the use the generic Print command under SmartLedger's File menu. Use the on-screen print buttons to get your printouts right every time.
