How to Change the Markup Selectively

For ease of use, PriceUpdater™ provides a central place on the main screen for your desired markup, and it calculates all retail prices based on the percentage you supply. This feature is a great convenience, because you only have to supply your percentage one time, in one place.

But you may not want to price certain items at your "global" markup. PriceUpdater provides several alternatives to let you price the exceptions the way you want to — individually or by group.

What to Do What You See on the Screen

Let's open PriceUpdater and go to Product Line 1.

priceupdater main screen

In the view above, PriceUpdater is in Carpet One mode. There is an extra button in the upper portion of the screen for Res & Com carpet pricing. You can put PriceUpdater into Carpet One mode at any time by clicking Choose User Interface under the PriceUpdater Menu.

Click once on the button for Product Line 1 (Select-a-Floor).

Here's our situation:

One of our suppliers is offering a discount, and we'd like to pass the savings along to our customers.

But "manufacturer" does not show up in the retail view.

Reason:
In the retail view, we don't want to see every detail. We just want to see what is pertinent to retail pricing.

For the fine detail, we need to go to the wholesale view, where no detail is omitted.

Click on Go to Wholesale, as shown.

Update: You can now search by Mill and SKU directly on the retail screen.

The detail we are looking for — Mill (or manufacturer) — shows up in the wholesale view.

Let's search for the manufacturer who is offering the discount, and gather up all the products in our list that come from that company.

Click on the magnifying glass.
