Create Your Own Price List

The Create New List command spawns a fresh, empty copy of the pricing file. Look for this command under the PriceUpdater Menu.

Create as many lists as you need. Create a general merchandise price list, using any unit of sale or measure, or a broadloom price list, suited to carpet or other goods sold by square yard or square foot. Restore a backup of your main pricing file to a fresh copy and experiment with new scenarios. Restore your latest cost update to multiple copies, and you can maintain multiple lists at different percentages for different markets. The commands you need are under the PriceUpdater Menu. (Tip: Try the Update Now button on a fresh copy you made with Create New List!)

A Merchandise list is suitable for furniture, tile, hardwood, sundries—you name it. This kind of list accepts any unit of measure or sale.

A Broadloom list behaves identically but calculates in units of sq. yd and sq. ft.

The new file, Pricing 2, opens and takes you to the retail screen.

Click the pencil each time you want to enter a new item in the list.

The next time you want to use the file, look for it in the folder named PriceUpdater Program Files.

Double-click it to open it. If you expect to use it frequently, right-click it and "Send to" shortcut on the desktop or the Start menu.

The folder PriceUpdater Program Files is the best place to keep your additional pricing files. This allows them to access all the assisting features of the program.

Here's how how your new file may look on a Macintosh.
