A custom piece will cost from $300 to $500 and up, depending on the detail.

Finished pieces are on 19"X24" Strathmore Bristol acid free 100lb paper (special sizes and paper by request).

All the pencil drawings are created using photos as a reference, so the quality of the photo is very important. As you can see on this page the detail in the photo dictates the detail in the drawing, also lighting is very important using a reference photo with poor lighting the end result will be washed out or seem flat.

At times I have manipulated the reference photo in PhotoShop to bump up the contrast (lights and darks) but even doing that has its limitations

For all reference images, the higher the resolution or dpi (dpi=dots per inch) the better. For example, if you copy a photo off the web in most cases it is a low resolution image (72 dpi) and it will be too low for me to work with.

If you have access to a scanner, scan the image in at 300dpi. If the photo is very small, scan it in at 600dpi if possible.

In most cases a photo from a digital camera should work fine. A photo from a phone will not.

If possible include as many photos as possible so that i can determine what will
work the best.
