Vise up close

Vise from the other side

I bought two 3/4"x14" bolts from a speciality store to be the main force holding the shoulder vise together. Let me say, driving those in was probably one of the toughest physical challenges of building the bench, even with a 3' cheater on the wrench.

The jaw solo. The left hand side matches up with the shoulder vise area, the oak insert is to keep the bolts from going through the jaw.

The jaw goes right by the fifth leg of the bench. I put an oak runner in there to keep the vise operation smooth.
