Lady Bird Foilage * What makes Lady Bird Johnson Grove so beautiful is not merely the trees, which are magnificent enough, but the thick greenery that surrounds the trees, as seen here * 1723 x 1155 * (1.67MB)

Lady Bird Forest * Here we find part of the

Tallest Tree * It may not look like much from the ground, but this

Tall Trees * Row of towering redwoods from Tall Trees Grove. This row constitutes one of nature's most spectacular skylines * 1196 x 1740 * (1.7MB)

Redwood Creek * Redwood creek, which flows its fish rich, otter infested waters right through the heart of Redwood National Park, is shown here. Further up this stream one will find the Tall Trees Grove, home to the world's tallest trees. * 1730 x 1181 * (1.54MB)

Comment: Lady Bird Johnson Grove rests near the top of a ridge, more than 1,000 feet from sea level. The moist conditions and the extra rain brought by the elevation causes the redwoods in this grove to look less red than trees of that sort found elsewhere on the Northcoast
