Patrick's Point Sunset * Summer sunset of Patrick's Point coastline * 852 x 557 * (239KB)

Wedding Rock * Wedding rock viewed through trees along trail
 * 874 x 600 * (427KB)

Northcoast Shoreline * Looking north from Patrick's Point State Park, toward the lagoons and, in the far distance, Klamath and Crescent City
 * 932 x 600 * (364KB)

Wedding Rock & Sea * This giant rock, known as

Patrick's Point Shoreline * To the immediate north of Patrick's Point is a sort of bay, which edges a large lagoon * 889 x 600 * (284KB)

Patrick's Point Trees.jpg - 599 x 820 - (390KB)
Calm Seas * This photo, taken along the immediate shoreline of Patrick's Point, displays a sea of surprising tranquility, with hardly any large swells or surf in sight. In the summer, the Pacific Ocean along the Northcoast can assume a surprisingly tranquil surface, as seen here. Considerably more calm, in any case, than the sea along California's southern coast. * 1056 x 600 * (406KB)

Ceremonial Rock View * Ceremonial Rock, which rises from the center of Patrick's Point State Park, oversees an expansive meadow from its 100 or so feet in elevation, as seen here in this photo taken from the rock's summit. * 984 x 600 * (374KB)

Mussel Rocks * From the Mussel Rocks we look nortward on a clear spring Northcoast day * 883 x 599 * (353KB)

Patrick's Point Waterfront * Photo of Patrick's Point taken from northern side of park * 870 x 569 * (82KB)

Agate Beach * Agate Beach as it stretches toward Big Lagoon, which, if you closely, you can see a speck of it near the far horizon * 900 x 579 * (95KB)

Comment: These trees are not redwoods, but some sort of fir or pine. If they look a bit straggly, it's because of the fierce ocean winds they must face during the long, rainy Northcoast winters.
