Edinburgh - September 2005
I'll be here again for the New Year celebrations, but here are some pictures of this visit.

On our way to tour the Royal Yacht Brittania...Robb's getting ready.
If you dine with the queen on the sea...this is your table.
Work your way from the outside to the inside and you'll be fine (they say).
I've got a lot of knot-tying practice ahead of me!
Random view of stuff you never see in the States.
Not sure about the black and white...the modern cars sort of ruin it.
The new Scottish Parliament building...highly controversial!
Ah...Arthur's Seat. We're gonna climb it!
View of the castle heading up the 'hill'.
View toward sea. Near left is Holyrood Palace; home of the queen when here.
More castle...not obsessed, I promise. Just an easy target for the camera.
It's me! Most of the way up the 'hill'.
Robb looking out for any incoming danger.
No sign of danger...so Robb's havin' a nap.
Best view so far. Shrubs in the foreground are at the TOP of Aurthur's Seat.
I'm kickin' back after a good climb.
Yeah...there's more behind ol' Aruthur...but we had other things to do...
Crosses etched into the ceiling inside the Scottish Parliament.
Robb. In a garden.
Looking down FROM the castle (we finally made it inside).
Old spire thingy is Walter Scott Memorial - through cannon hole in castle wall.
MEEP! I thought it said WC!!
Robb IS tallish, but these people must have been shortish too.
Still inside the castle...this is the veteran memorial.
What can I say...we copied someone else's idea.
I couldn't NOT take a picture of this plaque...on some wall inside the castle.
From the Elephant House (where Harry Potter got his start).
