XBOX Famine Ends


Around the middle of November, my cherished XBOX gave up the ghost. A sad day, but I hoped Santa would bring an updated model for the holidays: the XBOX 360.

If you follow these sorts of things, you've probably already guessed that my expectations were not met. No XBOX 360. No original XBOX. No Halo2 goodness.

A sad time ensued for poor, poor me.

But yesterday, a friend of mine who I only know through my XBOX Live gaming group got the message to me, "Federal Way Best Buy just delivered 10 units!"

I don't know what sort of software he has running monitoring deliveries (he lives in California), but he was right. When I showed up at the store 30 minutes later, the customer service rep said she'd just got them from the loading dock 5 minutes earlier. I grinned, paid, and drove away, dreaming of the XBOX glory soon to be mine.



Well, I had to go back to work of course. And I'm at work today. But tomorrow...
