Children of the Rune: Hollows of the Heart

I almost forgot to note that I have a short story appearing in a anthology of similar stories called Children of the Rune. This anthology showcases a fantasy world in thirteen imaginative short stories, of which I and my co-author, Keith Francis Strohm, wrote "Hollows of the Heart."

Edited by Sue Weinlein Cook, Children of the Rune also features the talents of popular authors Monte Cook, Ed Greenwood, Jeff Grubb, and many others.

From the cover (I think): They are seldom seen, but their deeds are often marveled at. They live in legend to serve the land. They are the mysterious runechildren, favored by some greater power to receive a distinctive runic tattoo—and magical powers to work great wonders. Runechildren blaze a brilliant path in a world where good and evil are never clear, guiding it to a destiny not even they always understand.

The thirteen thrilling and imaginative short stories in this anthology explore the magical runechildren: heroes mystically granted a special tattoo and supernatural powers they can use to benefit the realm. The stories also explore the concepts of honor over personal desire, individual choice over destiny, the value of ritual, and the power of one’s sworn word. And for game fans, they provide a wealth of new source material for players of Monte Cook’s Arcana Unearthed campaigns.

Here is a short teaser for each short story.

The E-Book is on sale now, but the print edition is coming this August.
