Democratic Sellouts Fingered

The 9 Democrats in the House that consistently sell out to corporate interests at the expense of their constituents (and the well-being of the greater party) are:

Melissa Bean (IL)
Jim Cooper (TN)
Henry Cuellar (TX)
Ruben Hinojosa (TX)
Jim Matheson (UT)
Greg Meeks (NY)
Dennis Moore (KS)
Jim Moran (VA)
Solomon Ortiz (TX)
Ike Skelton (MO)
John Tanner (TN)

These nine are among the 15 that voted for CAFTA last night (which is a great bill for CEOs, not so great if you are a middle class American). Cross-indexing these 15 with other votes that limit legal rights of average citizens for the sake of corporations (1, 2), we reach the nine (analysis by David Sirota).

As I've noted before, these Democrats typify (and number among) those who will keep the party in loserville from here to perpetuity. These 9 have shown through their voting record that they are consistently more interested in the cash corporate donors can provide them than the well-being of the people to whom they represent with lies and shallow lip service. These are the Democrats that continue to shoot bullets into the donkey carcass, ensuring that it'll never rise again.
