Jott

If you're like me, remembering all the things you want to do and when you want to do them is a challenge.

Often, I'll be somewhere without paper or access to a computer and an idea will strike me, or I'll see something I want to followup on, or my wife will ask me to remind her of something.

In the past, most of these things were simply forgotten. But now, I've got an account on Jott. With a speed-dial button my cell-phone, Jott takes down my voice messages, transcribes them to text, then emails me the content.

It's almost like having a personal computerized assistant. I think that's why I like this service so much. It is on the right track, helping me organize my life. Of course, what I do with my inbox is where all this could potentially break down, but at least once something hits my email, I'm far more likely to file it, put it in my calendar, or act upon it.
