Regeneration In Mammals

I've talked before about regeneration, but this article describes ongoing research on accidentally "geneered" mice who can regenerate whole limbs or organs, including livers, hearts, and parts of their brain. This is crazy stuff, and more so than anything else I've seen, holds real life-extension promise.

I imagine I'd need a fresh brain to deal with a longer life, or at least a spare one with extra capacity, just like I have a spare hard drive for my lap top that I plug into for memory-intesive tasks.
