25 Peeps

Looks like my blog has finally (if briefly) been linked to 25 peeps, which I sort of remember applying to appear on several months ago.

The site consists of 25 pics of bloggers. You send in a picture that is enticing enough to get people to want to come check out your blog. This becomes a way to drive traffic to your site, or so goes the site's claim. I used the same picture I have here on my blog--very original, no?

Check it:

RPG Links

Various Links to RPG game content. Click 'Read More' to see the links, as usual.

Monte Cook is one of my oldest friends, but is most well known for co-authoring D&D 3rd Edition. Now, he’s the co-owner of Malhavoc Press!

Game Mechanics is a relatively new game company on the block, made up of former Wizards designer/authors Steven Stan! Brown, Rich Redman, JD Wiker, to name three (that I know personally).

Sean Reynolds, in addition to being an author, (for instance, a co-author of the new Forgotten Realms setting), he is an accomplished CGI artist.

Andy Collins and I wrote the Epic Level Handbook together—he’s a dangerous, twisted man, with talent leaking from his very pores.

James Wyatt is an exceptional designer, the author of the new Oriental Adventures and a co-author of the new Deities & Demigods.

Jonathan Tweet challenges the reader with his many insights on multiple topics. He also wrote the new D&D Player's Handbook!

The first D&D Chat Board, rec.games.frp.dnd , sorted by Google.

Enworld , a voice of the 3e community.

Wizards of the Coast , the company that brought D&D into a realm of success it has never before experienced.

David Noonan and Chris Perkins, if either of you had a web site, I'd link it, since I think you're both fabulous game designers.

Psionic Links

The Expanded Psionics Handbook provides psionic races, fixes problems of Psi3.0, and serves expanded rules for psionic characters, psionic powers, items, prestige classes, and psionic monsters.

Time for an update to Malhavoc's psionic classics. The 160-page version of Hyperconscious updates all the psionics source material from my EN-World Award-winning If Thoughts Could Kill and Mindscapes, making this volume essential for v. 3.5 psionics players! Plus, all new material in the form of an adventure and copious supporting material in the form of new feats, powers, and psionic items.

As you know by know, I've written a few psionics-themed d20 products--If Thoughts Could Kill, Mindscapes: A Psion's Guide, and Mindscapes: Beasts of the Id.

Looking for free psionics content? You can go to the Mind’s Eye, a department on the Wizards web page that is updated fairly regularly with psionic feats, powers, and other interesting things for your psionics game.

Want to talk about psionics with others? I usually chime in  on the psionics board at Malhavoc ; this board is lightly moderated, and daily visited by a community of knowledgable, enthusiastic, and tolerant people.

Political Links

This list will grow over time, one hopes.

Shaping up to be the the sanest voice for political policy with a membership large enough to make a difference in the hallowed halls of power.

Natural Resources Defense Council. One of the most successful progressive organization attempting to stem the tide.

Radiopower.org. A progressive internet radio channel with news and talk.

Joe Biden's Page. A democratic senator that can talk on his feet. Might he even have convictions? We can hope, especially if he decides to run in 2004.

Sierra Club. The well known, but older, organization actively attempting to keep the hubs of the ecosystem from collapsing, which would doom us all.

KUOW 94.9. My favorite radio station.

Write Your represenatives in Congress. Feeling  disenfranchised? Write your congressional representatives all at once from one screen! Here is one way to attempt to be 'part of the solution.' Fill in your zip code and address. Things may not go your way, but at least you’ve voiced your opinion to your elected officials.

As I said, I'll try to add to this list as I come upon worthy links. I don't want to link to out-and-out foaming-at-the-mouth Bushbashing sites--I don't want to lose the message for the noise.

Science Fiction Links

Some authors that I'd like to link don't seem to have personal web pages.

Science Links

If you're like me, you have a regular bevy of web pages you check daily. These are some that I check daily. Well, only the top four or five news-oriented sites.

Wired Technology News

Salon.Com Technology

New Scientist News

Scientific American Magazine Online

Astronomy Picture Of The Day

Mac Rumors (Ok, not "science" but I do check this every day)

Here are some other cool sites I go to on occasion.

Solar System Simulator

Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence

The Planetary Society

Send more more cool science sites, if you have a favorite!

New GE Commercial

Check out this new GE commercial ; it is pretty sweet (look for prominent placement of the D&D Player's Handbook).

As Monte said when he forwarded me this link, "The best thing that's happened to gaming since I don't know when..."
