Party Definitions in the USA


On a break from writing fun D&D stuff before I head over to my monday night game, I've come up with a couple new ways to categorize the three main political parties in the US. These definitions are not comprehensive, nor timeless. These definitions only encompass a small slice of all the complex interactions that a member of each party falls under. Discuss...

Republican Congressperson/Senator: Proud and unapologetic to primarily serve corporate interests at the expense of labor and social safety nets.

Democrat Congressperson/Senator: Ashamed and tries to hide the fact that he/she sometimes serves corporate interests. Any given Democrat sometimes votes to preserve labor and social safety nets, but enough other Democrats on any given issue cave to corporate interests that Democratic coalitions are always undermined by some other Democrat.

Independent Congressperson/Senator: Hopes he/she'll never have to accept a check from a corporate donor...
