Sealed Cave Ecosystem Discovered


A cave complex completely sealed from the surface was discovered in Israel; the cave complex contains several living critters, which means, prior to being opened, it was a self-regulating ecosystem stable for MILLIONS of years without direct (or indirect) energy inputs from the sun. Totally awesome discovery--if there are one of these caves, there are probably dozens more beneath the earth, each its own separate and tiny world.
