Mission Impossible, Yes I get stuck.

This is my 1979 CJ7

My Jeep has a AMC 360 V8 with Holley ProJection fuel injection, an Edelbrock intake, and an all MSD ignition. The transmission is an NP435 4 speed with a 6.69:1 1st gear. I adapted the '83 Ford Bronco tranny to fit with an Advance Adapters kit from JB Conversions. Power reaches the tranny via a Centerforce dual-friction clutch. The transfer case is a Dana 20 with Tera-low 3.15:1 gears. Axles are '78 Scout Dana 44s front and rear, with a Detroit Locker in the rear and an EZ-Locker in the front. My ring & pinion gear ratio is 4.89:1 giving me an overall crawl ratio of 103:1. The suspension is a Spring-Over on Rubicon Express 6 leaf YJ springs front, 7 leaf rear, on custom spring mounts and Currie shackles. To help with stopping, I upgraded the manual brakes, to power brakes with Master Power Brakes 8" dual diaphragm power brakes. To steer the Scout axles, I put the knuckles from the stock Dana 30 axle on the Dana 44 and use Currie 1" chrome-moly custom length steering rods to connect the weird arrangement. The front drive shaft is a heavy-duty unit, custom made by a local shop. The rear drive shaft is a long-travel model from Rubicon Express. All this junk is connected to the ground by 35" x 15.5" TSL/SX Super Swampers on Trailready 15" x 10" aluminum bead lock wheels

You too, can be free of Microsoft!I became a Mac user shortly after I began to realize the damage that Microsoft has been doing to the computer and technology industry. Microsoft puts more emphasis on market control than product quality. If you are a power computer user, I'm sure you're familiar with Windows poor security and many files management issues. (missing or wrong .dll file sound familiar?) Since I think actions speak louder than words, I got rid of my PC's and bought an iBook from Apple Computer.

Besides poor quality products, what makes Microsoft so bad, you ask? Here are some examples. Did you know that Microsoft will not allow PC makers like Dell to offer their customers a choice of operating system when the computer boots, if Windows is installed on that machine? That right, in Windows' license to PC makers, it states that if Windows in installed on that computer, the PC must boot directly to Windows. Even if Dell wanted to include Linux on their machines (because it's free anyway's) you could not be shown a screen that asked, "what operating system do you want to use today?" In this way Microsoft keeps PC manufacturers from directly supporting the open source movement. You could get Linux and entire suite of software for free, but Microsoft won't let PC makers give you an easy way to access it. Microsoft also controls what your desktop looks like, too! Microsoft only allows certain items to appear on your desktop. Some time around Win98, Microsoft started not letting you uninstall, or disable Internet Explorer. Now, with Win XP, they've added Windows Media Player as an un installable item.

This entire web site was made, and is hosted on Apple computers using Macromedia Studio MX. That is why the page looks good on MS Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Opera, Safari, Mozilla, or what ever web browser you use. It's not Microsoft complaint, its industry standard compliant.

Linux ?

Consider Linux for your next operating system. PC magazine named Linux the most user friendly operating system, beating Windows XP and Mac! How amazing is that! Not bad for Free software. Did you know Shrek was made on Linux machines?
Mac?

How did I end up on a Mac? It started with me simply wanting a laptop computer. I had just recently bought a new PC with windows XP and was less then impressed with it, so I though it was a perfect time to try a Mac. I didn't know anything about them, so I went to Comp USA and bought the cheapest 14" iBook they had. I figured there was no guarantee I'd like it, so I didn't wan to spend more then I had to. What I bought was an Apple iBook 700Mhz G3 with OSX. I simply fell in love with it and haven't looked back. I used it so much that I got rid of my Windows computer and replaced it with a Powermac G4. I found that Macs are very easy to administrate and setup, easy to network and use, and awesome to look at. Who says something that works good can't look good to. Can you say photo quality icons!
