
Day Four-point-one - water mysteries
Only partially fazed by the tropical deluge, the expedition presses on, making their way to the outlet of a mist-shrouded valley.
There they find this odd structure, a graven symbol rich in power, which the natives call the Olawalu or the sign of the snorkel.
Here at the Olawalu the natives cast their elderly out among the tides...
 ...wearing the ritual snorkel garb, they brave the waters, forbidden the shore that looms so tantilizingly close.
These strangely shaped colorful wheeled cult vehicles line the coastline, hiding the ceremonial place from the eyes of casual onlookers.
