Face to face (and remote face to face) 

As a remote team, distributed around the country, it is nice to meet up now and again. The last three days have been a face to face meet for the remote team, the first one since November 2007. It was lovely to see everyone. Having not been able to stay for the third day due to other commitments, a  simple isight camera allows me to stay in touch with the meetings, here listening to Shirley. The visual presence is really important, though a tad fuzzy, my presence in the room is a satisfactory way of not being left out of discussions whilst away. Of course there is no substitute for being in the room, but this is the next best thing for me.
