Architecture & Design

I'm not an architect or a designer but I have always loved great design, and read architecture and design books often. A list of some that I love are at Amazon.

I saw SketchUp at Macworld last summer and was blown away. I downloaded the demo over the Christmas holidays and using the demo, designed and built a playscape for my kids. The building of it is not finished yet, but it will be soon. The playscape is like a tree house and completely made of red cedar. My garage smelled GREAT!

Digital Photography

I recently got a Minolta s414 digital camera. One word — sweet.

Some of my pictures

Books

I like to read fantasy and science fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, and technical stuff.

Bicycling

One speed is all you need — Cook Brothers is making a 25th anniversary edition

Vehicles

I have a 1977 Moto Guzzi Le Mans — badly in need of a life-saving cash transfusion. I started a restoration project, but ran out of time and then money.

Movies

I wish I had more time to watch them. DVD players are awesome. I've been to Sundance a couple of times, and that was really cool.

Computers

I like Macs. I use a beat-up TiBook, using Mac OS X.

Software

I have always had a passion for software. I love or hate something, and am generally not neutral. I plan to write some, soon.
