1 Backpack (non-rolling)
1 3-ring binder (2” size (3” binders do not fit into
desks))
10 dividers for binder (3-hole punched) – please label 7
ahead of time with these subjects:
•
reading, writing, math, science, social studies,
vocabulary/spelling, keepers
(Please do NOT send
single pocket folders or PEE-CHEES – thanks!)
BYO commitment to hard work
4 packs of 8 ½ x 11 inch white lined notebook paper
2 spiral notebooks with 3 holes (70-100 pages)
3 composition notebooks (no holes, usually have a marbled
cover)
BYO spirit of curiosity
24 #2 pencils with erasers – at least 6 sharpened, if
possible!
1 package of 12 or more fine tip colored markers
1 package of 12 or more colored pencils
3 highlighters
BYO higher level thinking skills
3 erasers, Magic Rub preferred
2 extra fine line permanent black Sharpies
2 regular black Sharpies
3 fine line black non-permanent marking pens, such as
Pentel or Flair
1 12-inch ruler with BOTH standard and metric measurements
1 pair of pointed Fiskars (or similar) scissors
3 glue sticks
BYO persistence and perseverance
1 inexpensive five-function calculator (some students may be asked to have a
graphing calculator – TI-83+ equivalent. You will be
notified by the 3rd week of school)
1 protractor
1 clipboard
USB flash drive (marked with name) for saving student work.
Sandisk works well, Memorex
does not.

supplies (dependent upon teacher style) in order to assist
with management of items as well as to minimize loss
throughout the school year.
