A note of caution: If you ever want to get rid of an application that has been installed this way you need to use the uninstall option that came with the application. Usually any program that is installed puts files into your sytem folder that you may not know about. Just dragging the application to the trash might cause future problems because program files are left behind. Such programs include "Speed Download" and Norton Anti virus" If a program was installed with an Apple Installer package (pkg) , there is a freeware program called DesInstaller you can use to uninstall it. |

An application installed by drag and drop can be dragged to the trash if you no longer want it. The stray files left will cause no problems. These stray files will be found in your Preference folder and maybe Application support folders |
