a 70's overview

I think of the 70's as the decade of bricks, balanced, suspended and stacked. Gravity, friction and balance held them together. These years also included boards set in tension with one another and within their confining space. I was at dinner one evening and met people who were new to me. One of them said, in all innocence, "Oh, you're the brick guy." "Not any more," I said. Yet it took several years to completely wean myself from bricks. ... images may take a moment to load...
