Plug-ins are the power of Location X. Each plug-in allows you to configure a separate part of your system for each location. If you are a developer, check out our plug-in development kit, available from the documentation download page. How do I install plug-ins?
Installing plug-ins is not a difficult procedure. Follow these instructions and you'll be up and running with new Location X features in a flash.
New Plug-ins from the Makers of Location X
· Entourage Plug-in v2.5.1 - This update of the Entourage plug-in is for users of Location X version 2.5 only (versions of Location X later than 2.5.x will have this included, 2.5.1 does not). The update adds support for Exchange accounts.
· Energy Saver Plug-in v2.0.1 - This update of the Energy Saver plug-in is for users of Location X version 2.0 only (if you have a later version of Location X, you already have the features of this version of the Energy Saver plug-in). The update fixes an issue which may produce inaccurate results when using the Capture feature to capture your machine's current Energy Saver settings.
· Entourage Plug-in v2.0.1 - This update of the Entourage plug-in is for users of Location X version 2.0 only (if you have a later version of Location X, you already have the features of this version of the Entourage plug-in). The update fixes an issue which may cause schedules to be executed multiple times or not at all when you switch to a location that is configured to enable or disable some schedules.
· Default Printer Plug-in v1.2.3 - This update of the Default Printer plug-in is for users of Location X version 1.2 only (if you have a later version of Location X, you already have the features of this version of the printer plug-in). The update fixes an issue which may cause a crash when switching locations for which the Default Printer plug-in is enabled. Read more in the enclosed README.
· Default Printer Plug-in v1.0.3 - Allows you to change your default printer upon location switch. (already included in Location X 1.0.4 and later, not compatible with Location X 1.1 and later)
· AppleScript Plug-in v1.0.3 - Allows you to schedule AppleScripts to run when you switch locations. (already included in Location X 1.0.4 and later, not compatible with Location X 1.1 and later)
Third-Party Location X Plug-ins
· Authoxy Plug-in 1.0.0 - Allows you to change your proxy settings for the Authoxy preference pane.
