Installing Plug-ins
To install a Location X plug-in, follow the following procedure.

Users of Location X 2.0 or later:

  1. Open Location X.
  2. In the Location X application menu, choose "Preferences...". The preferences window will appear.
  3. Click on the "Plugins" icon in the toolbar.
  4. Click the "Add..." button and select the plug-in file that you wish to install (Location X plug-ins end in ".lxplugin").
  5. Click the "Open" button. Your plug-in is now installed.
  6. Quit and relaunch the Location X application and toggle off and back on the Location X Menu (via the Preferences window) before attempting to use your new plug-in(s).

Users of Location X 1.1 or later:

  1. Open Location X.
  2. In the Location X application menu, choose "Plug-in Manager...". The plug-in manager window will appear.
  3. Click the "Add..." button and select the plug-in file that you wish to install (Location X plug-ins end in ".lxplugin").
  4. Click the "Open" button. Your plug-in is now installed.
  5. It is recommended that you quit and relaunch the Location X application and toggle off and back on the Location X Menu (via the Preferences window) before attempting to use your new plug-in(s).

Users of Location X 1.0.x:

  1. Quit Location X if it is open.
  2. Locate your Location X application program, probably in your Applications directory.

  3. Hold down the Control key on your keyboard as you click on the Location X icon. From the menu that appears, choose "Show Package Contents". A window in the Finder labeled "Location X" will appear.

  4. Double-click on the Contents folder to open it. (Note in some cases the Contents folder may not open if you have just installed Location X. Restarting should resolve this problem.)

  5. Drag the plug-in (a file ending with extension ".bundle") you wish to install into the folder labeled "Plugins".
  6. Close the Contents folder and the Location X window.
  7. Open Location X and use your new plug-in.
